Wakefield Steam Train

Wakefield Steam Train excursions and activities are presently suspended because of damages to the railroad caused by the heavy rains on June 23rd and 24th, 2011.

The Wakefield Steam Train offers a special opportunity for young and old to experience what train travel once was. The panoramic windows, splendid scenery and sounds of one of the last remaining authentic steam-powered trains take visitors back to a by-gone era where the experience is as much in the journey as it is in the destination. Depending on your chosen voyage, you can pair this trip with a four-course five-star dining experience, a hot meal to go, or a Sunday brunch, all of which are described below.

Sunset Dinner Train

Celebrate a special occasion between friends or share intimate moments in the stylish Club Riviera car on the famous evening train.

The Sunset Dinner menu features a variety of local meats, cheeses and produce with entrées that include Filet Mignon with Madagascar peppercorn sauce, Black and white sesame crusted salmon with a Teriyaki glaze, Chicken supreme stuffed with smoked Cheddar, or a Vegetarian Phyllo.

Dinner includes appetizers, salad, entrée, a platter of Quebec cheeses and dessert.

Just climb aboard the steam train for a Scenic Excursion and enjoy one of our Hot Meals to Go which include:

• A choice of:
• ¼ BBQ Chicken
• Fish and Chips
• Reuben Sandwich
• Vegetarian Burger
• Lasagna with Caesar Salad (does not include coleslaw or wedges)
• Chicken Fingers (Kids Meal – comes with chocolate chip cookies in lieu of Sugar Pie)
• Coleslaw
• Savoury Potato Wedges
• Homemade Sugar Pie
• Bottle of Water

Sunday Brunch

Enjoy one of three Sunday brunches, served with coffee and tea. The entire meal is served on your way to Wakefield.

• A platter consisting of mini croissants, mini muffins, mini treillis, sliced baguette & cretons assorted Quebec cheeses and fresh sliced fruits.
• Pancakes, ham and asparagus omelette, Home fried potatoes, and tomato salsa
• Chocolate dipped strawberries and mini biscotti
